1st ScotSail Training's sailing centre is based in Largs Yacht Haven marina on the river Clyde in Scotland. 1st ScotSail Training is an appointed RYA Sailing school scotland and training division of ScotSail, and has full RYA recognition. Our RYA sailing school in Scotland offers a full range of sailing courses in Scotland as well as RYA theory courses, starting with a beginner’s Competent crew sailing course progressing to the RYA Day skipper sailing course and for the more experienced the RYA Coastal skipper sailing course leading to MCA Coastal and Yachtmaster preparation for the exam and Cruising Instructor weekends. We also offer Day skipper theory courses as well as Coastal skipper theory courses along with VHF Radio, First aid and Marine diesel - so why not come and learn to sail in Scotland?

Established in 2002, 1st ScotSail Training has grown to be one of the largest RYA 'Sail boat cruising' training centres on Scotland's west coast.   In 2007, we helped over 250 students gain their RYA qualifications through practical training courses on our 2 dedicated training yachts and over 18 Shorebased theory classes throughout the year, including RYA Day Skipper, RYA Coastal / Yachtmaster, VHF Radio, Diesel Engine Maintenance and First Aid Courses.

This year, 1st ScotSail Training expects to help even more students gain these qualifications, and has even brought a 3rd RYA Training Yacht into their fleet, as demand for RYA Training Courses contines to grow.
