Note 1:
Practical Sailing course prices include all on-board meals, gas and limited fuel and engine hours (4hrs per day).   Water-proof off-shore sailing suits and boots are available to hire at subsidised rates.
Note 2:

We accept all major credit and debit cards.  Scotsail prefer you pay by Debit card, BACS or Cheque as we need to pass on the 2% Bank charge for most Credit card transactions.   Debit cards incur NO Bank charge. No dates can be reserved without a payment being made. 

 

Note 3:

We offer a re-fundable reservation fee of £50 per course place valid for 5 days if you need time to make a commitment to our availability when the dates you originally asked for are not available.

Note 4:

Day Skipper & Coastal theory courses run throughout the whole year at Largs and Preston Marina's. All course materials and a copy of our training material are provided prior to commencement of the course. Marina accommodation is normally available at Largs during low season and we can normally arrange similar at Preston.   Weekend Theory courses run Saturday and Sunday from 9.00am to 5.00pm within our dedicated classroom facility at Largs Yacht Haven and the use of the Marina's facilities at Preston.


Note 5:
Candidates undertaking the Coastal Skipper or Yacht Master MCA exam will need to pay the examiners fee set by the RYA. This fee will be advised to the client prior to booking. The Charter Fee is non refundable if client decides not to go ahead with exam or is advised not to. Also note that a £750 security deposit per student will be required as normal with any bareboat charter.
  
Note 6:

*RYA Basic Navigation & Safety courses are normally £160, £140 if booked in conjunction with a ScotSail 5-Day practical course / experience.

Note 7: 5 day bookings in high season for 2 or more persons subject to a 5% discount.
Note 8: Candidates wanting to convert their Start Yachting course to finsih their Competent crew course can book on 2 further weekends at the advertised discounted price.
Note 9 :

RYA Cruising Instructor certification weekend. Candidates must have all nessesary updates and qualifications to attend.  Run by Scotsail Principal.   Course date is September 20th and 21st 2008.

Note 10 :

Exam fee payable direct to the examiner.  Cheques made payable to the RYA.
